Here’s an over-the-top interior to drool over and provide some distraction from the realities out there. The three-bedroom condo is on the first floor of the majestic Tracy Mansion, at 105 8th Avenue in the Park Slope Historic District.
The neo-Classical marble palazzo was designed by Frank J. Helme in 1912 for the Tracy family. Brothers Michael and John were behind the successful M & J Shipping Company and siblings Maurice, Catherine and Helen joined them in the manse, according to census records. Architect Helme is perhaps best known for his work with firm Helme & Huberty on larger commercial and civic projects like the Hotel Bossert and the Prospect Park Boathouse.
We wrote about this first floor apartment back in 2017 when units in the converted mansion first hit the market. This time around there are some updated photos, including some room views not previously seen.
